Deimon try all their tactics to stop it and to try to counterattack. He wants to show no mercy and opts for the "Dragon Fly" tactic, in which both he and his twin brother, Unsui Kongo, play as quarterbacks and receivers. Because of his arrogance, Agon Kongo usually does not play against weaker teams but he carries a certain grudge against Yoichi Hiruma and Ryokan Kurita and decides to play in both offense and defense. Agon Kongo, considered a genius player who appears only once in a century, also shows his abilities against Sena Kobayakawa and Yoichi Hiruma's attempt to stop him. When the match starts, the skill discrepancy between Monta and Shinryuji's receiver, Ikkyu Hosokawa, is noticeable. As Yoichi Hiruma reveals to Agon Kongo of the Shinryuji Naga team that they have a secret weapon for their upcoming game, Doburoku Sakaki, the coach of the Devil Bats, tells Manabu Yukimitsu that he will be playing in the match.īefore the match, Musashi reveals that he, Yocihi Hiruma and Ryokan Kurita tried to join the Shinryuji Naga team, but because Ryokan Kurita could not pass the entrance exam, they went to Deimon and joined the Devil Bats. This tankōbon covers the prelude and the first half of the Kanto Tournament with Daimon Devil Bats and Shinryuji Naga. Gods continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (170–178) of the on-going manga series.
